Welcome

The Virginia Tea Party Alliance was formed to identify, train, and field principled conservative tea party candidates for all levels of of local and state government. In order for there to be any significant change in policy within our government, we must change who we send there.  We do not have time to wait for the two major parties, and especially the Republican Party, to “get it”.

We must organize precincts, develop candidates for all levels of local and state offices, and increase the political skills of the tea party movement.  In order to create a future for liberty, we must rebuild our Republic from the roots up.

The Virginia Tea Party Alliance is a third force in politics, not a third party.

To Use This Site-  This is our "headquarters".  It's our social network, our organizing tool, our blog, and more. Click on the email signup, or log in using your Facebook or Twitter accounts.  That's it!  Find your friends, organize an event, or share your voice and blog.  Each action earns you "political capital" where that you can redeem for prizes or special promotions.

There is a conservative tea-nami coming on November 8! PREPARE FOR IMPACT!

Back in August, the pundits, politicos and Parties thought that the Republican Party could gain only 3 more seats in the Virginia State Senate for a total of 21.

In September, the Virginia Tea Party Alliance made the bold claim that we could go Beyond 21, and gain a strong conservative Republican majority of 6-9 seats.

We were right.

There is a Tea-nami coming!  You can help us Stop the Obama Democrats in the Virginia State Senate, and elect strong conservative Republican majority.  Contributions will be used to continue our media and GOTV efforts. We will help keep the pressure on the left wing Democrats who want to stop Ken Cuccinelli's fight against Obamacare, who want to raise our gas taxes, restrict our property rights, and give in-state tuition to illegal aliens.

We can't afford 4 more years of that kind of "leadership".   Help us stop the Obama Democrats in the Virginia State Senate.  Help the Virginia Tea Party Alliance go Beyond 21 and create a conservative Tea-nami!

Should George Allen Debate Jamie Radtke and Tim Donner?

Apparently Former Senator George Allen and his campaign do not believe so.

To date Allen has only agreed to one debate; an Associated Press debate with Democrat Tim Kaine which will be held Before the Republican Primary, and will not include any of the other Republican candidates.

Allen has turned down all other invitations to debate, including the Shenandoah Valley Tea Party Patriots’ offer to host a debate including all of the Republican candidates.

This is more than just political game playing. Allen has name recognition, money from rich contributors, and endorsements from party politicians. His opponents do not, so why should he risk debating his record in the primary?

Allen’s strategy so far seems to be to avoid discussing his record of the big spending party line votes that he cast when he was previously in the Senate, and instead try to ride out the primary with endorsements and contributions, hoping that the status quo will hold up long enough to make him the nominee.

Radtke’s logic is simple and straightforward; she says, “I will attend any debate anywhere, anytime George Allen is present. But without George Allen there can be no debate. Instead, it will be like a circular firing squad of his opponents.”

George Allen has tried to portray himself as the original Tea Party candidate, but now will not attend a single Tea Party debate. His refusal to attend the Shenandoah Valley Tea Party Patriots debate on 20 October caused Jamie Radtke to decline to attend as well, and this in turn has led to a fair amount of disagreement among the Tea Partiers themselves.

Should there be a debate without Allen or not?

The point to remember here is this; there is only one reason there will not be a debate with all the Republican candidates, and that is because George Allen does not want to debate his record. All of the other candidates are willing to go head-to-head with Allen.

In light of his previous record as a U.S. Senator, I believe George Allen owes it to the People of Virginia to square off with his opponents and let the People decide if he is the best candidate.

Allen should realize by now that in order to get nominated for Senate he is going to need the support of the Tea Party. By snubbing the Shenandoah Valley Tea Party Patriots he risks alienating a block of voters whose support he will surely need IF, and I say again IF he becomes the nominee; the People of Virginia get to decide this, not the party, the big money contributors, or the media.

I think that George Allen needs to come out and debate his opponents. If you believe as I do, then contact the Allen Campaign, your local Republican committee, and the Associated Press (blewis@ap.org).

VATPA Releases New TV Ad - Stop the Obama Democrats

Well, Tea Party Patriots -

We would personally like to thank President Barack Obama for doing his best to help us get a strong conservative Republican majority in the Virginia Senate.

Yessir, Mr. President, without you, none of this would be possible. In fact, the awful policies you have pushed on the American People, like Obamacare, are so disliked, that almost all Democrats in Virginia (except Shawn Mitchell and Sen. Ralph Northam) don't want you around. You know what? We don't either. Look at the ad that will be released by the Virginia Tea Party Alliance - linking every Democrat in Northern Virginia right to you, whether they like it or not. - And most of them don't!

Our first step in making sure that Obama is a one-term president is to make sure that in less than 19 days Virginia gets a strong conservative majority in the VA State Senate.

We are closing in, just 19 days to make the case, that we don't want Obamacare, Cap and Trade, in-state tuition for illegals, higher taxes, or job killing regulations. The best way to hold these leftist Democrats accountable is to Vote Them Out!

We need to run this ad NOW! Most Virginians are not aware that we have an important election in just 19 days! We are gearing up to run this ad in Northern Virginia, but it won't run unless you help put it on the air.

We need this TV ad to help our Beyond 21 candidates get elected!

An Important Message Regarding OWS

Fellow Tea Partiers,

Here is a copy of an e-mail I sent today. I want to warn as many people as possible about this. If you think this is as critical as I do, feel free to pass it, or at least the pages I list URLs for, along to anyone you think could even possibly take the time to check this out. And, as I state in the e-mail, if you find evidence that this is all a farce, please let me know. No sense in jumping on conspiracy theory bandwagons. Thank you.

I just found this article whilst web-surfing. I've decided to send this to my entire contact list, because I think it may be important. I was chilled when I listened to the recording on the second video, at the bottom of the article. If this chills you too, please send this along to your contacts. If you think this is just a conspiracy theory, feel free to reply with a reputable article with similarly persuasive evidence. However, I remember wondering several months ago if Glenn Beck's claim (and I'm not a Beck fan, btw) that various socialist and communist organizations would try to temporarily unify in an attempt to de-stabilize the Western world by causing the Egyptian-style protests to spread, with the aim of eliminating capitalism, was also just a conspiracy. Since this has come along, however, I've started wondering if Beck is more reputable than most people think. Before you respond with an article saying the OWS movement is grassroots and mostly made up of college students, please note that I am referring to the organization and pre-planning that seems to have occurred prior to OWS' appearance, not to the grassroots and society elements that have come to support it. It may also interest you to know that a hacker element of OWS, jointly with Anonymous, has released a YouTube vid in which they clearly and repeatedly state their attempt to attack the NYSE on the 10th of this month. I will link to that as well.
